Not everyone in Boca has an acre of land. But having a small backyard doesn’t mean you can’t swim.
We are seeing a huge surge in “Plunge Pools” and “Cocktail Pools.” As creative custom pool designers, we love the challenge of a tight space.
What is a Plunge Pool?
Think bigger than a spa, but smaller than a lap pool. Usually about 10×15 feet. It’s deep enough to stand in with a drink, big enough to cool off, but it leaves room for a patio table.
Vertical Features Matter
Since we can’t go wide, we go up. We add a raised wall with sheer descent waterfalls. It blocks the view of the neighbor’s fence and creates a beautiful sound that drowns out traffic noise.
Heating is Cheaper
Smaller pool = less water. That means you can heat the entire thing to spa temperatures in January without bankruptcy-level electric bills.
