The Real Cost of Building a Pool in Boca Raton (2025 Update)

Try finding a price on a pool builder’s website. It’s impossible, right? Most guys are scared to scare you away. But we prefer to shoot straight.

If you’re looking for honest pool builders in Boca Raton, here is the truth about what your budget actually gets you this year. No sales fluff, just numbers.

The Starting Point ($65k – $85k)

For a standard family pool—think 15×30, concrete (gunite) shell, nice tile, and a pump that works—you are looking in the mid-60s to start. This gets you a solid, beautiful pool that will last decades.

What’s included: Excavation, steel rebar, concrete shell, tile, coping, and standard equipment.

The “I Want a Spa” Range ($90k – $120k)

This is where most of our clients in West Boca and Broken Sound end up. You want the spa to relax in after work. You want the lights to change color from your phone. You want a sun shelf (that shallow ledge for lounge chairs).

Once you add the heater, the automation, and the spa, you’re usually crossing the $90k mark.

The “Resort” Backyard ($150k+)

If you want fire bowls, waterfalls, travertine decks that go on forever, or an infinity edge that looks out over the canal, the sky is the limit. We’ve built projects that cost more than a Ferrari, and they look like it.

Don’t Forget the “Invisible” Costs

Here is what other contractors “forget” to mention until you’ve already signed:

  • Dirt Haul-Off: Digging a hole creates a mountain of dirt. Moving it costs money.
  • Electrical Runs: If your breaker box is on the wrong side of the house, copper wire isn’t cheap.
  • Fencing: You need a fence to pass inspection. Do you have one?
